Save the Children is, since June 2018, implementing a project called Kudziua in 12 communities in the districts of Morrumbala and Milange, in the province of Zambézia. The Kudziua Project (AID 011462) is financed by AICS - Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and implemented in partnership with Rede Hopem and the University of Bologna (UNIBO).

“Kudziua”: uma abordagem que promete mudar o futuro das crianças na Zambézia

Star-G project: a chance for girls to advance in education

Constância Armando Gervásio is a girl aged 16 years and daughter to Gervásio Armando and Maria Katunga. She hails from Chabualo community in the district of Angonia, Tete province and has been attending the Chabualo Distance Learning Center since February 2019. The community is 32 km from the Administrative Post of Úlonguè, in the district of Angónia.

ECCD Awakens and rescues dreams of dozens of children in Cuco, Mozambique

From Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 12 pm, a five-year-old girl joins a group of others aged 3-5. Together they experience the miracle of deciphering the letters of the alphabet and solving basic mathematical problems. For the past three years, the life of Dalfa Pascoal, from Cuco locality, Manjacaze district, in the southern province of Gaza, Mozambique, has been following this routine for the last two years.

Ampliando a literacia e a escrita

Uma iniciativa da Save the Children sobre o uso de histórias locais para a promoção da literacia das crianças poderá será capitalizada a nível nacional no contexto do ensino bilingue. Esta iniciativa consiste no uso de pequenos livros contendo histórias da tradição oral locais.
