Our 2022-24 Global Strategy

Together we will transform children’s futures.

We believe in a world where every child grows up healthy, safe and educated – playing, learning and looking forward to a future filled with possibility and potential. But right now, Covid-19, conflict and climate crisis are undoing decades of progress. In every single country, from Somalia and Syria, to Indonesia, Ukraine and the USA, children are struggling in our increasingly unequal world. The world has never been wealthier, yet one in two children is growing up in poverty. This means over one billion children are denied their fundamental right to life’s most basic building blocks: education, safety, good healthcare and nutrition.

The world should be outraged. We can’t accept the status quo.

Save the Children is the world’s first and largest independent child rights organisation. With over 100 years of experience, we continue to adapt, to do what is right, and to meet the needs of children in a changing world. This demands compassion, courage, speaking out and blazing a new path – for and with children. We know that together we can do this. That is why, for the first time ever, children worldwide have helped to create Save the Children’s new global strategy. Our youngest partners are leading the way by sharing their experiences, needs and ambitions.
