| Fact Sheet_BHA_CD | The majority of the internally displaced people (IDPs) forced to flee their homes due to insecurity in northern Mozambique, remain in the province of Cabo Delgado. With USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) funds, Save the Children is providing access to health, nutrition, WASH, and protection services to conflict-affected children and communities. Save the Children aims to prevent and reduce excess morbidity and mortality, and to strengthen the protective environment, among IDP and host communities in Chiure and Metuge districts.

| AMPLIFYING THE VOICES OF CHILDREN OF CABO DELGADO | Between July and August 2023, Save the Children conducted a consultation with children in the districts of Palma and Macomia who returned to their districts of origin in Cabo Delgado. Some of these children returned to their communities after the conflict, others did not, and remain in very difficult conditions. The children were returning from the districts of Montepuez, Palma, Mueda and Pemba, where they had been displaced. Algumas destas crianças regressaram às suas comunidades de origem após o conflito, outras não, e permanecem em condições muito difíceis. As crianças consultadas regressavam dos distritos de Montepuez, Palma, Mueda e Pemba, onde estiveran deslocadas.
