Desde Maio de 2020, o Projecto NORAD da Save the Children está concentrado no apoio à uma estratégia de ensino baseado na família para evitar que alunos em áreas muito remotas abandonem as escolas devido a COVID- 19.

Since May 2020, Save the Children’s NORAD Project, which is being implemented in partnership with the Manica Provincial Government, has been focused on supporting a family-based teaching strategy to prevent students in very remote areas from dropping out of schools due to the COVID-19 prevention measures, which closed all educational institutions in the country in March 2020. For this initiative, 436 mobile teachers and 520 community reading promoters were trained to support 50,142 primary school students in the districts of Macossa, Tambara, Machaze and Manica.

The Food Security and Livelihood Project in Gaza benefits more than 100,000 people in six districts that are impacted by drought conditions. The project is funded by Save the Children Italy.

Save the Children is already actively engaged in seeking to improve the living conditions for those displaced by the armed conflict in Cabo Delgado and will concentrate its actions also in Nampula.
